Amy Winehouse in clear...

The 24-year-old Back To Black singer seemed in hot water herself after being dramatically arrested last month and having her DNA and fingerprints taken.

She was quizzed over a suspected plot to bribe barman James King, allegedly beaten up by Fielder-Civil in an east London pub in June 2006. Cops held Amy on suspicion of offering 200,000 to King to drop his statement against Blake, 25, who has been charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

But DNA tests have FAILED to provide any conclusive evidence to link her to the plot.

Cops have probed computer software in Amy's flat to see if she was involved in trying to set up a place in Spain for King to lie low until the case collapsed.

They have looked closely at where money allegedly offered to King came from but even if they source it back to Amy's bank account it is believed this will not be enough to charge her.

Xavier takes aim at 10th straight win

The Flyers have now lost three of their last four outings, and their 5-7 conference record clearly overshadows a much more impressive 17-8 overall mark.

Xavier rolled to a 69-43 victory over Dayton in the first meeting between the teams back on January 24th, but the Flyers still own an 80-65 lead in the series.

Through 27 outings, Xavier is scoring 77.2 ppg while limiting the opposition to 62.7 ppg on 40.1 percent shooting from the floor. The Musketeers are outrebounding opponents by 6.2 rpg, a key to their success. It is hard to find many teams as balanced offensively as Xavier, as the team has six double-digit scorers in the lineup. Josh Duncan leads the pack with 11.6 ppg, while Drew Lavender is netting 11.3 ppg to go with 122 assists and only 48 turnovers.

Risky space repair relies on Canadian gadgets

Think of climbing up on your expensive new plasma TV to change a lightbulb in the ceiling, and that's roughly what a spacewalker will do with our sophisticated space hardware this morning.

Four key pieces of Canadian robotics have combined to build a makeshift extension ladder, 400 kilometres above the Earth. It's an odd use for multi-million-dollar robotics, but without this, NASA would be staring helplessly at a damaged solar array, just out of reach.

Micron will return its focus to making memory

Micron plans to spin off its division that makes sensors used in cameras and cell phones, into a separate company so Micron can focus on memory manufacturing, Chairman and CEO Steve Appleton said Thursday. And despite heavy losses lately, Micron is willing to spend money to seize opportunities to consolidate the industry and bolster the company's dynamic random-access memory and flash memory businesses, Appleton told analysts."We're well positioned to participate as opportunities come up," he said at the company's annual analysts conference, held this year in Salt Lake City. "If you look at the strength of our cash balance sheet, it's very significant, and it's very good."Spinning off image sensors into a separate company would mark the end of a diversification effort the company hoped would reduce its reliance on cyclical DRAM and flash memory.

Incumbent Brown collects several endorsements

I think this demonstrates Representative Brown's status as a political insider who is more interested in satisfying other politicians than her own constituents," Gent said. "That's not what the people want, and that's not what the district needs."Click Here for Full Story
